Biosphere is developing a novel bioreactor sterilization method using UV-C LEDs, a more cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative to traditional steam sterilization. This technology aims to significantly reduce the cost of biomanufacturing and enable the production of previously expensive materials. The company is currently testing a three-liter benchtop reactor and working towards larger-scale models.
